UX Designer & Engineer
Designing products without forgetting the people who actually use them.
Hi, I'm Logan, and I am an end-to-end user experience designer, engineer, and researcher. Through my work, I pride myself on truly understanding the specific needs and behavior of my audience. With my experience in both design and engineering, I can make sure both sides are perfectly aligned on how to design for our user.
01 — Specific Users
Astronauts on future Mars missions will have to wait 44 minutes to get a response from ground control. C.A.I.S gives the crew the autonomy they want to solve onboard problems themselves instead, and meets the specific needs of these highly-trained and habitual users.
02 — Secure Environment
UPMC is a hospital that categorizes the needs of patient caregivers and recommends resources accordingly. Care2Care is a digitzed version of this manual process, built end-to-end with both a mobile and web component, and built securely to protect private information and integrate into their existing infrastructure.
03 — Accessibility
ChefMate is designed as a companion for older adults in the kitchen. ChefMate carefully addresses the array of possible accessibility considerations, such as motor difficulties, hearing loss, or low vision, all while maintaining the user's autonomy.
04 — Empowering
This project included a deep dive into the realm of trading card games and concert ticket sales, and the pain that scalping brings to the common consumer. Comtrade aims to address this by placing the power in the hands of people who are actually involved in the hobby.
05 — Physical Design
Design often entails more than a digital interface. Physical controls that are intuitive is just as important, as seen with Leisure, a prototype of an autonomous scooter. The vehicle went through numerous physical iterations through multiple rounds of testing as common expectations and behaviors began to surface.
